Playoff Football: Where To Watch The Games

The start of the new year is synonymous with the beginning of playoff football, and although our our Carolina Panthers won’t be there this time, we’re still excited for a few action-packed games before it’s all said and done. One of the best parts of playoff football is getting everyone together, both friends and family, to just enjoy the games. However, deciding on who’s home to host at, or where to meetup, can be a headache. The team at Keith Hawthorne Ford of Belmont is here to help and we’re putting together a quick list of some of the best (and friendliest) places for you to catch the games. Some of the top places to watch the games are close to Charlotte, although there are a few in the surrounding areas of Gastonia and Belmont, so get your new Ford ready for a ride around town. Two things are for certain, the following places have really good food and a lot of TVs, so gather round and let’s check them out!

Buffalo Wild Wings

This one is obvious, and although we wanted to steer away from franchises there’s no denying the football experience to be had at BWW. Great wings, drinks, and a ton of high definition TVs surround you from every possible angle, so there’s no escaping playoff football here. If you’re looking to catch every game and not miss a second of the action, this is the place to be.

All American Pub

Located in Charlotte’s historic South End District, the All American Pub touts that it’s “Where Gameday is Everyday”, well you got our attention! With plenty of indoor and patio seating you’ll have no issue finding a comfortable spot for your crew to catch some football. Furthermore, their menu is stuffed full of American Favorites and plenty of Daily Specials so you’ll have plenty of options for a solid gameday meal.

Angry Ales

Just a little over 30 minutes outside of Belmont in the town of Montford lies Angry Ales, one of the coolest bars around. There are 20 TVs here so catching a particular game is never an issue and with a menu featuring classic Country favorites like Chicken fried Steak, as well as “Gameday Ribs” and Pulled pork. The service is awesome, the food is even better, and there’s plenty of opportunities to catch some quality football; it’s an overall win.

Hickory Tavern

Just one stop on their website and you can tell this place is legit, just ask the people at ESPN who voted Hickory Tavern as a two-time finalist for “Best Sports Bar in North America”. The menu is chock full of delicious entrees ranging from flatbreads, to wings, and of course mouth-watering burgers. Check out there events page here to see what’s happening, since there’s always something going down at the Hickory Tavern.
